(Nasdaq: MYLV) today announced that it has received a second FDA approval for the sale of its first generic, tadalafil, as part of a transaction to its U. S. subsidiary, Mylan Pharmaceuticals LLC. The generic Tadalafil is indicated for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. The second generic, tadalafil, was launched on May 26, 2013, and will be available through Mylan's U. subsidiary, Mylan N. V., through a new distribution agreement with PharmaPharma International, Inc. The generic Tadalafil has been the first FDA-approved medication for ED since 2003 and was approved for the treatment of ED by the U. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in November 2002. Mylan has also launched Tadalafil for the treatment of other medical conditions, including chronic erectile dysfunction (ED) and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Mylan has approximately 80 employees in approximately 140 countries.
